On Monday night October 20th, Brian Moorman’s P.U.N.T. Foundation hosted the 3rd Annual Celebrity Wine Tasting presented by MassMutual Financial Group at Asbury Hall on Delaware Avenue. The night started with the “Taste of the Region”, offering a tasting of wines from the most distinguished local wineries, Merritt Winery and Bully Hill as well as a sampling of seasonal high end microbrews from around the world presented by Try-It Distributing. The evening of exquisite wine and gourmet cuisine continued as over 225 guests sat down to enjoy a six course tapas and wine pairing.
The festive occasion was hosted by Brian and Amber Moorman and Rich (The Bull) Gaenzler and was highlighted by a multitude of Bills and Sabres players. In addition to the opportunity to mingle with some of Buffalo’s most notable celebrities from the world of professional sports, guests enjoyed a live and silent auction with the chance to bid on autographed sports memorabilia, golf packages, spa treatments, restaurants packages, and more. A touching moment of the evening was when John Kaczorowski, a two time cancer survivor, took the stage to sing and play the guitar and piano for the guests. “John is an inspiration to me and should be to all of you.” Said Moorman, “He represents hope and perseverance.”
