Brian Moorman, Buffalo Bills' Two Time Pro Bowl Punter
Unveils "Brian's Locker" Supporting Childhood Cancer Patients

Moorman's P.U.N.T. Foundation continues to support Roswell Park patients and families.

Buffalo Bills two-time Pro Bowl punter, Brian Moorman, and his P.U.N.T. Foundation announced the opening of Brian's Locker today. The locker, which is filled with items to help meet the everyday needs of childhood cancer patients and their families, is located in the waiting area of the Pediatric Center at Roswell Park Cancer Institute.

The locker will meet a few of the needs of pediatric patients families by providing gift cards for groceries, gas and phone services. Along with gift cards, Brian's Locker will be outfitted with games, books and supplies for activities. Care packages filled with Moorman signed caps as well as mini footballs, water bottles, bandanas, gift cards for a New Era Cap, bars of soap, toothbrushes and hand sanitizer and lotion for newly diagnosed children.

When my wife Amber and I formed the P.U.N.T. Foundation, we had the vision of being able to make a difference in the lives of children faced with cancer. With funding from Ingram Micro, and donations from New Era Cap Co., we are very proud and excited to open Brian's Locker, said Moorman. As we spent more and more time with the children at Roswell Park Cancer Institute, we saw a need. And hopefully, the activities and items provided through the locker will fill this need while easing the many struggles faced by pediatric cancer patients and their families. Through Brian's Locker we feel that our vision of helping in the everyday lives of these children and their families is being realized.

Martin Brecher, MD, the Waldemar J. Kaminski Chair of Pediatric Oncology at Roswell Park, said that Brian's Locker will assist his staff in helping improve patients' and families' emotional and psychological quality of life. When a child is diagnosed with cancer, the life of the entire family is turned upside down. There is a great need for emotional support, explained Brecher. Brian's Locker is more than just a physical locker. It is a full program of support for our young patients and their families, helping them to maintain a sense of normalcy during a time of tremendous stress."

Brian's Locker is funded in part by Ingram Micro and received a generous donation of caps from New Era Cap.
